Blastocyst Transfer Programme
Blastocysts are embryos cultured in the laboratory for an extended period of 5 to 6 days, rather than the usual 2 to 3 days in traditional IVF. By allowing extended culture for several days, our team will be able to ‘de-select’ embryos that are non-viable, leading to a significantly improved pregnancy rate. However, it is important to note that not all embryos can successfully develop in the laboratory until the blastocyst stage. This implies that there may be a limited number of embryos available for treatment.
