Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidies (PGT-A)

PGT-A, or Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidies, is a genetic test that screens IVF-fertilized embryos for aneuploidies, a genetic defect caused by an abnormal chromosomal count. By combining IVF with PGT-A, it is possible to minimize the risks of transferring unhealthy embryos. This allows for a more precise selection of embryos for transfer and significantly increases the chance of achieving a normal live birth.
When should PGT-A be considered?
  • Advanced maternal age
  • Recurrent miscarriage
  • Repeated implantation failure
  • Previous repeated abnormal pregnancies
  • Severe male factor infertility
  • Couples who are carriers of a chromosomal disorder
